Chatting About Solo Travel on the Amateur Traveler Podcast

janice

I speak quite often about solo travel but I don’t reach that many people at a time. This conversation on the Amateur Traveler will get the “solo travel is great” message out to many.

It’s strange hearing your own voice.

I wonder if you will find my voice strange as well. After only reading my words will I sound to you as you expect.

Like a radio personality that doesn’t look anything like he sounds do I sound nothing like I write?

Just a musing.

Talking Solo Travel on the Amateur Traveler Podcast

A few of weeks ago. I had the opportunity to chat with Chris Christiansen of The Amateur Traveler – a very popular podcast that usually focuses on travel destinations. I’m so lucky that Chris made an exception in my case and we talked about travel lifestyle. We talked about solo travel.

Here’s a link directly to the interview on the Amateur Traveler: Amateur Traveler Episode 355 – Solo (International) Travel as a Woman with Janice Waugh

I really wasn’t aware of your Canadian heritage and always love Canadian accents. Your story about the Indian restaurant and then wedding was fantastic! I follow you on email, Twitter and Facebook. I loved the interview!

I am 62 and going to start a travel blog for “more mature” people and am aiming at Europe next year as a Solo Traveler, as my wife isn’t retired yet. We are looking at living in foreign countries as soon as she retires. I am aiming at walking the Camino Frances in the spring or fall of 2013 and then hitting a few countries afterwards. I started traveling at 23 and hit about 10 countries in eight weeks, as a buyer. This year I have been to Ecuador and Japan. I want to travel until I really can’t walk anymore! Safe Travels !!!
