Travel Solo and Enjoy the Magic of Lake Ontario in Winter

Stuck at home.  Wishing I could be traveling. I decided to wander my neighborhood as a tourist. I turned my camera to the beauty I have at my doorstep.  Beauty that many of you have never seen. These are shots of Lake Ontario on crisp, clear winter day in January.

There is one sight I’ll remember all my life, I hope. It was visiting Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada in winter when all the lampposts were covered in ice with long icicles hanging from them. Absolutely spectacular.

Beautiful shots – I am amazed how few people get down to the lakefront in the winter. Dress properly for it and it is so beautiful – this winter you really don’t even need to concern yourself too much with the dress warmly part : ) I think I will go for a walk…thanks for the inspiration.

Hey Janice – love the ‘duck bums’!

Thanks for reminding us all to view our day-to-day surroundings with the joyous eye that visitors bring to a place.
