The Montreal Bagel from Fairmont Bakery – the best.

Screen shot 2010 12 20 at 7.26.50 PM The Montreal Bagel from Fairmont Bakery the best.I love Montreal bagels and the ones I love most are from Fairmont Bakery. You just have to go – any time of day or night – next time you’re in Montreal. Just head right up St. Laurent Blvd., also known as The Main, and turn left on Fairmont.

Sorry NYC, but I really prefer Montreal bagels.

    Oh my, I absolutely adore Montreal bagels!! Nothing can compare! Fairmount bagels are awesome! Though I prefer Mount Royal Bagel, much sweeter.

    my parents are from montreal and i grew up spending x-mas & summer there and the bagels (and much of the food) haunt me! i’ve lived in nyc and agree with you- montreal is tops! i don’t remember if we went to the fairmont, but you can bet i will next time i visit.

    Hi Lauren. Yes, it’s part of the charm of Fairmont — that you can go anytime of night and you may still find a lineup.

    I’m a Montrealer and I absolutely love bagels. I eat bagels more than on a regular basis and I’ve tried pretty much every Montreal bagel shop. However, Fairmount is not my preference. My absolute favorite Montreal bagel shop would have to be Mount Royal Bagel Bakery.

    Oh how I miss Montreal, and in particular walking for an hour at 2am when I couldn’t sleep to get some Fairmount bagels and cream cheese!

    I had my first Fairmont bagel in Montreal last fall. Oh. My. Word. Sweet crusty outside with a warm, chewy center. Heaven in a bagel. Although I do like my NYC bagels, a Fairmont bagel is, in my opinion, vastly superior.
