Such a lovely setting.

The Pic of the Week is drawn from photos submitted to the Solo Travel Society Facebook Group, providing an opportunity for solo travelers to share with us a favorite photo from their travels.

This week’s pic from Solo Travel Society member Sylvia was taken at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin, Ireland.

Hi there, I travelled to Iguazu last December, possibly a really good time as there were few tourists and i had an opportunity to breath in the incredible atmosphere without being overwhelmed by people!!

I went to Ireland a few years ago- not solo but it was still an amazing trip! I’m planning my first solo trip for next year (still not sure where I’ll be headed) and going back to Ireland and to England and Scotland is definitely one of my ideas!

Hi Andrea, My daughter and I did the Buenos Aires/ Iguassu Falls trip last December. Be prepared for very hot weather. Iguassu is a massive and crowded tourist conveyor belt. It moves very efficiently and is a magnificent sight. It’s just not very private or personal. You may want to think about getting a Brazilian visa if you want to see both sides of the falls. Also think about a few days at an estancia. There’s one called El Ombu that is about an hour drive from BA. It’s authentic, hospitable and not very expensive. The ferry to Colonia, Uruguay is a nice day trip from BA.

Lovely, I’m going there first week of November. Scotland and Ireland, but two days in Dublin before flying back to the states. Love this site, lots of help, not a first time solo, but always looking for helpful information

St. Patrick Cathedral looks well-managed. The road is clean and the flowers are blooming. I’d love to take a mass one of these days.
