Do you have a solo travel destination that you would like to recommend? Submit your description here, along with a few photos, and share it with fellow travelers!

Languages spoken: Cambodian, Vietnamese, English

The walkable sea wall fronting Kep.

Reasons to go:  Kep is a seaside resort town at the southern end of Cambodia,   very close to the border with Vietnam.  Vietnamese tour buses stop at the oceanfront parks for restrooms and food on a daily basis, but they don’t get in the way.

Kep reminds me of Kona, Hawaii many years ago – a sleepy fishing village with a definite tourist “season” and quiet the rest of the time.

Walking the seawall through town to the restaurants offering fresh crab is a daily pleasure. Prices are low, people friendly, smiles on most faces. A safe and relaxing destination for solo travelers.

Kep is the departure point for Rabbit Island, a great day trip.

Kep is about as far south as you can go in Cambodia.
