Solo Travel – Luxury Travel
Ok. I’ll fess up. I don’t typically solo travel in luxury. High end hotels don’t appeal to me (except on the rare occasion) because I find the guests less friendly and the staff friendly in an obligatory manner. I like small hotels, B&Bs, hostels and the like for the casual atmosphere and camaraderie they provide. After all, being able to meet people more easily is one of the reasons I travel solo.
However, that doesn’t mean that high end travel companies don’t have extraordinary knowledge and experience to share. They do. Their tours are amazing as are their promotional videos that you can find on Youtube. Watching them may make you pine for the high life but, in fact, some aspects of their itineraries aren’t expensive at all. These videos can give you insight into destinations and ideas of things you’d like to do when you get there.
So, once again, I searched Youtube for the best. I looked for videos that are are both entertaining and informative as they show what luxury travel looks like. Here’s my short list:
Egypt in luxury.
South Africa by train and so much more.
Maldives presented by Kuoni
Cycling in italy by Butterfield and Robinson
The diversity of Peru presented by Arcari.
A wide range of extreme adventures by Abercrombie & Kent
There are many other luxury travel videos on Youtube. Have a look. It’s a great way to research a trip.
And if you’re interested in how to book air tickets and hotels cheap, have a look at last week’s video selection Solo Travel – Cheap Travel.
