When I get back home, I’ll have time to write many stories for you about Prince Edward County – an area 2 1/2 hours from Toronto and 3 hours from Ottawa, Montreal and many points in the Northeast United States. But for now, here’s a sampling of what’s to come and what you could enjoy in Prince Edward County.

Georgious landscape everywhere.

Taking lessons from Chef Kelly Atwells at the Waring House Cookery School

Everyone was really into what Chef Kelly Atwells was teaching.

The Huff Estates - the first of many wineries I visited.

Many wineries control insects with traditional methods like hanging bottles that attract wasps away from the vines rather than use insecticides - Closson Chase.

Redtail Winerie is completely off the grid.

Art is another big attraction of Prince Edward County

The shorline of Lake Ontario is beautiful as well, of course.

My last activiity in Prince Edward County was cheesemaking at Fifth Town Artisan Cheese.

I left the County via the free Glenora ferry.
My thanks to Taste the County for their support with this trip.
