On Thursdays, Zip Set Go organizes an event on Twitter called Travelers Night In or #TNI from 3:30 to 5pm ET. It’s a fast paced chat about travel on a different topic every week.
Last Thursday it was on solo travel. I co-hosted the discussion and chimed in on occassion – though I must admit to some frustration. Having written thousands of words on this topic it was difficult to respond to the questions presented in just 140 chracters.
But it was fun and interesting to hear how people think about solo travel, those that do travel solo and those who don’t.

TravelsceneUSA Take lot’s of pictures, the memories (sadly) fade and it’s great to look back. [I sometimes forget this and, without someone to prompt the memory, this is important.]
cowgirljab: Wear European shoes in Europe. Running shoes are a dead give away that you’re a tourist!

jslipski When in suspect places, stay near someone that looks more like an obvious, wealthy tourist than you do.
