I live alone, and therefore love traveling solo. I wasn't always single. I was half a pair for many years. Solo/independent offers many advantages -- no bickering over travel routes, wrong turns, how or when to sleep, sites to see and for writers, it's the bomb! I must confess I do have a K9 partner. She's quite the watchdog and makes me feel safe. I might have qualms going totally solo, I guess ;) I do believe there are more challenges for a woman alone on the road -- physical and psychological. Overcoming them is very rewarding, tho!
