Approaching the Entrance to Petra

The canyon at Petra starts quite wide open

And then it narrows quickly.

... and gets very narrow.

A water viaduct runs along both sides of the canyon.

The color of the rock is quite beautiful.

And then you get your first glance of the Treasurey Building

The treasury building is actually a misnomer. It was a tomb.

Camels in front of the Treasury building.

Architectural elemment of the Treasury Building.

The treasury building upper section.

Another Treasury Building section.

Beyond the Treasury Building there is the original town of Petra.

Queen Noor Foundation are the only sales allowed in Petra.

You can travel through Petra on a mule.

I took the buggy back.
