It isn't that I never travel with companions, it isn't that I don't enjoy my companions when I do travel with them, but there is a certain magic for me about solo travel that feels like it is an integral part of who I am. Right now I have a coaching client who was recently widowed. She is about to experience her first solo travel trip and I am unbelievably excited for her to discover all that awaits her! I find that for a lot of my female clients who have lost self confidence as they've aged, solo travel is a fast, powerful and potent way of rediscovering their essence, reclaiming who they are in this world. Whether it is weekends away, attending retreats and workshops on their own, or exploring far flung destinations, there is something profoundly grounding about doing it for yourself and by yourself.
